About ARCA
ARCA was founded in 2019 to care for older people who can no longer live on their own. We do it in real homes, with a team that stays, and with families kept informed every day.
Our story
2019
ARCA Società Cooperativa Sociale is founded as a not-for-profit social cooperative, running care homes for older people in Palermo.
2022
We start home care: our care workers support people in their own homes, in Palermo and its province.
2023
We are accredited with ADI24 (opens in a new tab) (integrated home healthcare) and SAMOT (opens in a new tab) (palliative care), providers accredited with the Sicilian Regional Health Service, which bring advanced healthcare and medical support into our residences every day.

The Elisir and Strauss residences, and home care in Palermo and its province.
What we believe in
A family model, built around the person
Our residences are homes. People eat together, keep their own routines, and staff know each resident’s story.

Residents see familiar faces every day. For an older person, continuity is part of care.

We keep you informed, we answer the phone, and we are there to talk when you need it.
Full regulatory compliance
We operate under the regulations of the Sicilian Region and the guidance of the Palermo local health authority (ASP).

I opened the first home in 2013, on my own. Since then the job has not changed: being in the homes, with the residents, the staff and the families.
My background is in educational sciences and adult training. It is why at ARCA we recruit carefully, train properly and keep our people: for an older person, seeing the same faces every day is part of the care.
I am not a doctor or a nurse. My job is to make sure the people who provide care can do it well, and that families always know how their parent is doing.
